Dealers (and those of you who may be interested in becoming a MuscleGloss Dealer), we often get calls from you asking us for advice on how to go about doing a specific project. We’re always, always happy to help you get started! That being said, the absolute best way to tackle any new project is to first try it out on a small scale. That is exactly what we do here at the MuscleGloss office whenever we want to experiment with a new application technique or way to use our epoxy.
In order to help you get started, we have put together an Epoxy Sampler Training Kit* that includes everything you need to experiment with our epoxy on a small scale. The kit comes with two Epoxy Samplers, trim brushes, card stock, gloves, Muscle Fleck, Non-Skid Grip, and an instruction guide to get you started.
Whether you are just starting out and have never used epoxy before or you’re a veteran ready to try something new, experimenting on a small scale is absolutely the way to go. Doing this allows you to cheaply practice with the epoxy and also helps lessen the risk of a botched or problem project when you do the same thing on a larger scale.
If you’re one of our first-timers, we would like to say that working with epoxy is very similar to painting. Ninety percent of the process is in the prep work. If you’re interested, don’t be afraid to give it a try!
We also encourage you to experiment on as many substances and using as many application techniques as you’d like. Remember, epoxy can be applied to a variety of surfaces (wood, ceramic, vinyl, and laminate to name a few). It’s very easy and cost-effective to get your hands on a small substrate sample to experiment with.
Again, as always, please do not hesitate to contact us to have your questions answered or for help!
